Glutino has introduced Milano-like fudge and mint fudge Italian creme cookies as well as a version of graham crackers. Glutino parent Boulder Brands is offering shoppers a $7 rewards e-card when purchasing three Udi's, Glutino, evol, Gardein or Earth Balance products at one time. The rebate can be submitted up to three times per person through October 15.

Goodie Girl Cookies' new gluten-free fudge striped cookies are now available exclusively at Walmart. A 75-cents-off coupon is available at the company's website.

Schar's two newest crackers sold in the United States are sea salt snacker thins and European-made Italian crostini.

In addition to no added sugar, KIND's new Fruit Bites do not contain any juices, purees, concentrates, preservatives or genetically engineered ingredients. Each snack has three ingredients or less and is made with real fruit, like cherries, apples and mangoes. The suggested retail price is $4.99 per five-pack box.


In time for the fall, Amazon.com-owned Whole Foods has debuted gluten-free pumpkin spice bites, pumpkin pie spiced apple-filled snacks.

The new gluten-free Simply Better turkey, chicken and beef gravies from McCormick are made with natural stocks, vegetables and herbs and spices. In addition to being gluten free, the gravies have no artificial flavors or MSG.

Reader Vic B. let me know that Knorr Selects stove-top sides are gluten free. The rice-based dishes are available in six flavors - Four Cheese Risotto, White Cheddar Broccoli, Roasted Garlic Alfredo, Rustic Mexican Rice & Beans, Spinach & Artichoke and Asiago Cheese & Cracked Black Pepper - at a suggested retail price of $1.99.

Summer's not over yet! Down at the Jersey Shore, Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Caesars Atlantic City (2100 Pacific Ave., 609-348-4411) has a gluten-free menu heavy on protein entrees with some starters and sides.

Gluten-free stuffed shells, baked ravioli, spaghetti (prepared in separate water) and other dishes are available at Uncle Gino's in Ventnor (7306 Ventnor Ave., 609-822-2556).

In nearby Northfield, Ventura's Offshore Cafe (2015 Shore Rd., 609-641-5158) has a gluten-free menu with several appetizers, salads, entrees and sides.

Harbor Burger Bar in Stone Harbor (271 96th St., 609-796-5669) has gluten-free burger buns and a dedicated fryer for fries. Request that the buns be prepared on a clean part of the grill. Down the block, The Watering Hull (261 96th St., 609-830-3106) lists several gluten-free options on its menu, primarily raw bar items and salads.

Boathouse in Wildwood (506 W. Rio Grande Ave., 609-729-5301) offers a gluten-free menu composed primarily of proteins.

The Hard Rock Cafe in Center City Philadelphia (1113-31 Market St., 215-238-1000) has a gluten-free menu that includes burgers and a hot fudge brownie dessert. The kitchen doesn't maintain a dedicated fryer, but the wings can be grilled and the fries baked.

Philly.com reports that the longtime West Berlin Mexican restaurant Los Amigos (461 Rt. 73 N., 856-767-5216)[gluten-free menu] is closing on September 9. The Atlantic City location is unaffected.

Victoria Freehouse, a Continental restaurant in Old City Philadelphia (10 S. Front St., 215-543-6089), is hosting a gluten-free fall cider dinner on Saturday, Sept. 30 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The four-course menu includes an autumn salad paired with Aspall Blush Cyder, pumpkin curry soup accompanied by Sam Smith Organic Cider, cider-braised pork belly with Aspall Dry Cyder, and clotted cream cheesecake matched with Thistly Cross Scottish Cider. The cost is $48 per person (exclusive of tax and gratuity). Call the restaurant for reservations.

The Gluten Intolerance Group of Chester County is hosting a Q-and-A and potluck on Thursday, Sept. 7 at 6:45 p.m. The event will be held at the Government Service Center in West Chester (601 Westtown Rd.). RSVP via this link.

VIP and general-admission tickets are now on sale for the Central PA Gluten-Free Expo on Sunday, Nov. 5 in State College. If you can't make that one, save the date for the Greater Philly expo on May 18, 2018.
