Champps Americana has introduced a "gluten-friendly" menu to all of its locations, which are mainly in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest U.S. In the Delaware Valley, Champps can be found in King of Prussia (330 Goddard Blvd., 610-491-8001), Collegeville (51 Town Center Dr., 610-454-1003) and Marlton (25 Rt. 73 S., 856-985-9333).
Smashburger is now offering Udi’s gluten-free buns at all U.S. locations. Smashburger has also reformulated the seasoning that goes on its burgers and grilled chicken sandwiches to be gluten free. Some toppings available for add-ons do contain gluten, and guests should ask the manager to have their orders prepared with separate utensils.
The vegan, gluten-free and allergen-friendly Sweet Freedom Bakery is opening another location, this one in Bryn Mawr this summer at the former site of *ndulge Cupcake Boutique (1039 W. Lancaster Ave.).

100% gluten-free Sweet Christine's Bakery & Cafe has officially relocated its shop in Kennett Square (503 Orchard Ave., 610-444-5542). The grand opening is next Saturday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Breyers ice cream varieties will feature a "gluten-free" claim, consistent with the FDA's rule on gluten-free labeling. A gluten-free logo will begin to appear on 36 Breyers varieties this month and will include family favorites such as Natural Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Mint Chocolate Chip, certain Breyers Blasts! flavors, Cherry Vanilla, Butter Pecan and Fat-Free Chocolate and Strawberry. The recipes of these varieties will remain the same.
Glutenberg has just introduced its fourth gluten-free beer - an India Pale Ale. The brewer's tasting notes describe the IPA (6% ABV) as having "an aromatic nose full of citrus, lemon and floral notes, a crisp and sharp mouthfeel paired with light caramel and hoppy flavors." Glutenberg beers are currently distributed throughout New Jersey and nine other states.
ALDI has launched a new line of gluten-free products at its markets nationwide under the liveGfree brand. The range, available for a limited time (until supplies last), includes granola, pancakes, pizza, wraps, stuffed sandwiches, pasta and baking mixes.
ShopRite of Roosevelt Boulevard (11000 Roosevelt Blvd., 215-673-1200) has gluten-free snack demos on Wednesday, May 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, May 19 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday, May 29 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. ShopRite now has its own brand of gluten-free pastas, and reader Kathleen D. let me know that they are on sale this week at four for $4.
