  3. There's a place in Lancaster, Spice of Life, that also has a stand at the farmer's markets in Rittenhouse and Head House Squares in Philadelphia on Saturdays. I'm addicted to their walnut spice muffins and the dinner rolls are amazingly soft and chewy.

  4. I am opening a coffee shop in center city Philly and want to offer some gluten-free baked items as well as low-fat, sugar-free items as well. If anyone knows of a bakery who does these type of products and deliveries into philly, please pass them my way. thanks, Jeff

  5. I found the Virago's bakery posting on this blog and recommended it to my sister who has recently been diagnosed with Celiac's. She's in heaven. Great selection of gluten free items including cinnamon buns and cheese cake. Plus the wraps at the cafe were terrific.

  6. Several of the Mom's Bake at Home Pizza establishments have established gluten free menus. The pizzas are fresh and most toppings are safe. They are also carrying Conte's pastas, which are superb. I go to the one in Havertown, and they are very nice there.

  7. My wife started a meal prep and delivery service business specializing in gluten-free recipes because I was diagnosed with celiac over a decade ago. Her cooking is fabulous and we have been getting rave reviews. Check out Cathy's Kitchen at www.cathyiscooking.com.

  8. Imagicakes Bakery is wonderful. My daughter has a nut allergy in addition to celiac disease. She wanted a traditional cake for her birthday. The other bakeries either had gluten free products, but not cakes, or they used almond flour. Imagicakes was easy to work with and the cake was great. Even better they deliver (no charge in Center City). Highly recommended.

  11. I went to the Rittenhouse Farmers market today. Got cinnamon bread and sesame rolls from Amaranth Bakery (they have a stand at the market). Both were so delicous and moist. Can't wait to try some of their other items!
