MadeGood was at Expo West with its new Crispy Squares. The organic vanilla and chocolate chip treats are made with organic crisp rice and cane sugar. Each bar contains nutrients from one serving of vegetables from six different sources including spinach, broccoli and carrots. All MadeGood products are produced in a dedicated facility free from the eight common allergens. MadeGood's products, including Granola Minis and Granola bars, are available at Whole Foods, Wegmans and online at Amazon and Fresh Direct.

Whole Foods has added two new gluten-free cookies to its private-label 365 Everyday Value line: White Chocolate Chip Cranberry Oatmeal and Mint Chocolate Chip (hat tip to reader Bethann S.)

Lance Snacks' newest gluten-free crackers are cheddar cheese (similar to Cheez-Its) and original (akin to Ritz). Wegmans markets have them on sale this week for $3 each.

Allentown will get an outpost of an nearly all-gluten-free restaurant. Friday, March 24, is the planned opening date for CoreLife Eatery in Hamilton Crossings Plaza (833 N. Krocks Rd., 610-298-9575). The menu includes green, grain and broth bowls; the only non-gluten-free option is bread, which is kept separate. It's the first location for the chain outside of New York and Ohio.

In Jenkintown, Upper Crust Pizza and Grill (314 Old York Rd., 267-636-5433) offers a varied gluten-free menu that includes pizza, a turkey wrap and entrees. Gluten-free orders are handled and prepared separately. It's a sister restaurant to Boston Style Pizza in North Wales, which has similar options.

The annual Celiac Education Day sponsored by the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is scheduled for Sunday, March 26. Session and registration information is included in my recent blog post.

Have a great weekend!
